Barrett & Coe Portrait training day

Monday 9th February saw our second members training day of 2009, held at the Old Bridge Hotel Huntingdon. Despite the heavy snow and ice that swept the country that weekend, over 40 network members attended.

The morning session was a seminar with David MacDonald (pitured below), one of the UK's leading portrait photographers. David spoke about his customer-driven approach to business and emphasised attention to detail in every aspect of his work. David's work can be seen at www.davidpmacdonald.com.

For the afternoon session the photographers were split into two groups to focus on marketing & products and a practical session.

London Fashion Week 2009

Last week Brian Barrett attended a London Fashion week event, sponsored by Canon. Invited as a guest by Stewart Fielder of Warehouse Express, Brian has revealed he will be working closely with them to review and test new procucts, starting in March with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7, a Lastolite Collapsable Soft box, a Lastolite black velvet background and the Canon ES40D.
